Study on e-waste in the MENA region
In developing and transition countries, e-waste is frequently not being treated in an environmentally safe manner leading subsequently to heavy impacts on human health and environment. On the other hand, e-waste offers economically most interesting recycling possibilities that are unfortunately not being used.
Focusing mainly on waste from information and communication technologies (ICT), Global21 carries out a study comparing the legal situation, treatment technologies and initiatives regarding e-waste in 10 countries of the MENA region. Furthermore, Global 21 frames up a regional benchmarking and suggests a list of recommandations. |

The government of Cameroon aims at integrating climate change aspects into the national strategic planning documents, implementing by this the Paris Declaration and taking into account climate change related risks and challenges.
Commissioned by GIZ, Josef Seitz accompagnies the government of Cameroon in this process by developing a methodology for integrating climate change into national planning documents. |
